Madhya Pradesh Tourism Organizes Jaipur Roadshow to Boost Experiential and Cultural Travel

The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board recently hosted a roadshow in Jaipur to strengthen interstate tourism cooperation and attract travelers seeking meaningful, experience-based journeys. The event highlighted the state’s focus on sustainable, community-centered tourism, showcasing its vibrant culture, heritage sites, and natural attractions.

Tourism With a Personal Touch

Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director of the Board, emphasized that Madhya Pradesh aims to offer more than just conventional travel.

“Tourism in Madhya Pradesh is about connection — with our traditions, landscapes, and communities. Whether through food, music, temples, or eco-retreats, visitors are encouraged to engage deeply with their surroundings,” she said.

The roadshow welcomed tour operators, hoteliers, and tourism professionals from both Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, opening doors for collaborative ventures and visitor-friendly travel circuits.

Heritage and Spiritual Trails

Tourism officials presented several popular destinations:

  • Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar – Major pilgrimage spots.

  • Chitrakoot, Maihar, and Amarkantak – Known for spiritual peace and natural beauty.

  • Khajuraho, Sanchi, and Bhimbetka – Three world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites that reflect the state’s deep historical and artistic roots.

In addition, Madhya Pradesh boasts 15 tentative sites on the UNESCO list, providing even more cultural depth for travelers.

Eco-Retreats and Upcoming Events

As part of its promotion strategy, Madhya Pradesh will host several festivals in scenic and offbeat locations:

  • Gandhi Sagar Forest Retreat – September 12, Mandsaur

  • Kuno Forest Retreat – October 5, Sheopur

  • Chanderi Eco Retreat – October 25, Chanderi

These events aim to offer immersive experiences, support local artisans, and promote nature-based tourism.

Cross-State Collaboration and Tour Integration

By conducting this roadshow in Rajasthan, the state is looking to create multi-state travel circuits. One of the growing travel trends includes combining destinations, such as integrating Madhya Pradesh experiences into a Rajasthan tour package from Delhi, allowing travelers to explore rich heritage, spirituality, and nature all in one journey.

The collaboration between the two states encourages joint promotions and investment, positioning Central India as a must-visit region for both domestic and international tourists.
